Hotel Taisetsu is located on the highest hill in Sounkyo, almost in the middle of Hokkaido. Daisetsuzan National Park and Ginga no Taki Falls are nearby. It is a 15-minute walk from Sounkyo Gorge and a 5-minute walk from the Taisetsu Kurodake Ski Resort Ropeway. Asahiyama Zoo is about 60 kilometers from the hotel. A complimentary area shuttle and a free shuttle from JR Asahikawa Train Station are available. Buses connecting Sounkyo and Sapporo are in operation.
